Bilbo Golf Tournament Raises $50,000 for New Horizons

The 31st Annual Bilbo Golf Tournament was a weekend full of golf, an auction, live music and hearts helping kids in need. The Bilbo Golf Committee presented a check to New Horizons for $50,000 in an effort to continue providing healing treatment for children all across Texas.

Abilene Ruff Riders & Amarillo Venom Join Forces To Help Local Kids

It's the Ruff Riders second straight home game this week. The Ruff Riders haven't wasted any time getting themselves prepared for tonight's game against Amarillo.

But they did take a small break from concentrating on the game to do a little community service. Earlier Saturday before the game, the Ruff Riders and the Amarillo Venom headed over to the New Horizons' Audrey Grace House to hang out with some of the young guys there. The program is for kids who have dealt with abuse and neglect.

Abilene Ruff Riders and Amarillo Venom to appear at Audrey Grace House

The Abilene Ruff Riders and Amarillo Venom will be at the Audrey Grace House at 1 p.m. Saturday — six hours before they meet at the Taylor County Coliseum in a Lone Star Football League game.

The Audrey Grace House is operated by New Horizons, a nonprofit organization that works with children who have suffered abuse and neglect.

The players will spend an hour with the children signing autographs and playing games. Wali Mumin, a Ruff Riders player, is an employee at the Audrey Grace House. The Ruff Riders will be donating tickets to all staff and children at the Audrey Grace House.
